Minimum Age Requirement for Dogs Participating in Hoopers
Please note that dogs must be at least 6 months of age to participate in hoopers classes.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your registration to participate in a Cactus K9 event at any time. You will receive a refund, less a $25 administration fee, if a written notification of cancellation is received no later than 10 days before the start of the scheduled event.
Extenuating Circumstances: The Cactus K9 Club will consider a request for a refund past the cancellation deadline if medical documentation (dog or human) is provided. We encourage individuals to take advantage of the registration transfer option.
Registration Transfer: A confirmed registrant may transfer registration to another individual under the following conditions:
- email from primary registrant to [email protected] to explain circumstances
- a registration form is submitted by the new registrant indicating who is being replaced
- any transfer of fees is handled by the individuals involved.

Hoopers is a fun new sport for dogs of all ages and abilities.
In this class, dogs will learn to value hoops, tunnels, barrels, and gates. These obstacles make up a hoopers course. You will be teaching your dog how to find a line and how to override the line with a cue. Dogs will also learn some important verbal cues. Hoopers is a stand-alone sport but will also complement agility training for handlers and dogs.

Hoopers involves distance work and timely cueing. In this set of classes, you will work on cues that will help direct your dog at a distance. Dogs will have the foundations of 'finding' and following a line of obstacles. You and your dog will be able to enter competitions on successful completion of this class.
